Materials needed:
To make a crayon wreath, you will need:
- A foam wreath form
- A pack of crayons
- Glue gun
- Ribbon
Step 1: Prepare the crayons
Remove any paper labels from the crayons and break them in half. Sort the crayons by color into piles for easier placement.
Step 2: Glue the crayons onto the foam wreath form
Using a hot glue gun, attach the crayons to the foam wreath form. Start at the innermost part of the wreath and work your way outward, gluing crayons side by side. Press each crayon firmly against the foam while the glue sets.
Step 3: Create a second layer of crayons
Once the first layer of crayons is attached, create a second layer of crayons in the same fashion, alternating the colors if desired. Place the second layer of crayons on top of the first layer, positioning the crayons in between the crayons on the first layer to hide the foam.
Step 4: Add a bow or ribbon
Using a ribbon, create a bow or loop for hanging. Glue the bow or loop to the top of the wreath.
Step 5: Hang and enjoy!
Hang your crayon wreath up for all to see and enjoy. The bright colors of the crayons make for a vibrant and playful decoration perfect for any classroom or playroom.
