A face mask has become an essential accessory in our everyday life in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. While different types of masks are available, not all face masks are created equal. So, what are the features of a good face mask?
Filtration efficiency
The primary function of a face mask is to prevent respiratory droplets from spreading to other people and minimize the risk of infection. A good face mask should have a high level of filtration efficiency to trap small particles or viral droplets. A high-quality face mask should be durable, reusable and maintain its shape after washing. Single-use masks contribute significantly to environmental waste and can be expensive in the long run. Choosing a reusable mask is eco-friendly and a cost-effective option. Masks made of materials that can withstand multiple washes without losing their protective quality are ideal.
