Tools and materials you will need
Before you begin installing a bathroom towel bar, it is important to gather all the necessary tools and materials. You will need:
- Measuring tape
- Pencil
- Screwdriver or drill
- Anchors and screws
- Level
- Towel bar and mounting brackets
Choose the location
The next step is to choose the location where you want to install the towel bar. Ideally, it should be within easy reach of the shower or bathtub. Measure the width of the towel bar and mark the desired location with a pencil.
Attach the mounting brackets
Using the pencil marks as a guide, hold the mounting brackets against the wall and use a level to ensure they are straight. Once you are satisfied with the position, mark the screw holes with a pencil. Use a screwdriver or drill to attach the mounting brackets securely to the wall.
Install the towel bar
Now it’s time to install the towel bar itself. Place the bar onto the mounting brackets and secure it in place using the provided screws. Make sure the bar is level by using the level before tightening the screws completely.
Test the towel bar
After installing the towel bar, give it a gentle tug to ensure that it is securely attached to the wall. If it feels loose or wobbly, you may need to tighten the screws further or use different anchors for better support. Once you are satisfied with the stability of the towel bar, it’s ready to be used!
