Our honest opinion about Descript

I’ve been utterly impressed by this product, which enables you not only to transcript the vocal content of your videos but gives you the possibility to edit the vocal recording… via the text transcription. You can remove words, add words (overdub), remove nasty filler words, etc. It’s mind blowing.

Cheapest premium plan: $12 per month

You can try the product for free but if you need unlimited projects and up to 10 hours of transcription per month you’ll move to the entry level premium plan. If you want to leverage more advanced features like overdubs, filler words and audiograms, then you’ll pay $24 per month, which is still very affordable for such a time saving machine. I love it!

Descript is best for

video producers who want to speed up their editing workflow as well as quick reliable transcriptions. It’s a game changer.
